Governance advisory—not regulated or clinical advice

Steward & Structure describes independent consulting and facilitation around family governance, stewardship, succession, decision rights, education, and family-enterprise coordination. We are not, through this Site, acting as a law firm, accounting firm, audit firm, registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, trust company, fiduciary, insurance producer, psychologist, therapist, mediator, or medical provider.

No substitute for specialists

Governance work may touch legal, tax, fiduciary, investment, ownership, employment, health, and family-dynamics questions. Discussion identifies issues for coordination; it is not an opinion or treatment. The family remains responsible for decisions and for retaining appropriately qualified legal, tax, clinical, fiduciary, investment, and other professionals.

Facilitation boundaries

A facilitated conversation is not therapy, clinical counseling, legal mediation, arbitration, adjudication, or a guarantee of agreement. Participants are responsible for their own decisions. If safety, coercion, incapacity, acute distress, or a serious conflict is present, specialized professional support may be required before governance work can proceed.

No guarantee of family or enterprise outcomes

A constitution, charter, council, policy, succession process, or education program cannot ensure harmony, participation, fairness, continuity, compliance, or enterprise performance. Outcomes depend on accurate information, authority, behavior, implementation, monitoring, changing circumstances, and other advisers.

Illustrative content; third parties

Scenarios, timelines, deliverables, and benefits are illustrative and simplified. Provider mentions are not endorsements or warranties. Diligence, contracting, supervision, and performance remain with the client unless a signed agreement expressly allocates a task. Applicable conflicts, compensation, or referral relationships should be disclosed in writing.

Communications and confidentiality

An inquiry is not an engagement and is not automatically confidential or privileged. Do not send sensitive family, health, identity, financial, tax, ownership, security, or access information until conflicts, terms, participant expectations, and a secure channel are established.

Geographic limits

Services are available only where lawful and appropriate. Professional-services, licensing, fiduciary, privacy, mediation, and consumer rules vary. We may limit or decline a matter and may require local or specialist advice.
